The Climate Specialist works on the road, using advanced apparatus to
measure the climate in poultry business premises. Alongside solving problems
he pays special attention to providing preventative advice. Premises
are routinely examined to provide timely warnings of potential climate
problems. This arranged under an annual subscription. Pluimvee Praktijk
Noord en Oost aim to prevent problems and improve technical results.
The pathology room and laboratory form a pillar of our service at Pluimvee
Praktijk Noord en Oost. Problem cases are investigated daily in Slagharen
and Leek, whereby we distinguish between routine cases and problem cases.
Routine cases are investigated according to our standard protocol, whereby
each organ system is systematically investigated. Any unusual results
are discussed with the customer and the veterinarian to decide on a course
of action. Routine inspections are of great importance for the timely
discovery of flock problems.
Problem cases are investigated so as to find the root cause of the problem, working together with the veterinarian and the poultry farmer to find a solution. Follow-up investigation is carried out under our own direction and, in combination with a company visit by the vet, can lead to a successful solution.
Much of the follow-up work is carried out in our own laboratory, allowing us to react quickly to acute problems.

Opening hours
Both locations are open Monday to Friday, 08:00 ‘till 17:00. Outside working hours our night deposit boxes are open for depositing laboratory samples.
Surgery
Working days 08:00 – 09:30. Other times by appointment. You can reach us during office hours via mobile phone. Outside office hours our answering machine will inform you which vet is on call.
